Frenectomy

Stages of treatment

A frenum or frenulum is a piece of mucous membrane with enclosed muscle fibers that runs between the lips and gums. It is frequently associated with loss of papilla, gum recession, diastema between adjacent teeth, difficulty in toothbrushing, and malalignment of teeth. However, the presence of any abnormal frenal attachment can be corrected with a wide variety of surgical techniques available and applied by periodontal experts in our clinic.

Nowadays, laser devices offer excessive frenum removal with minimal discomfort and without any sutures.
